About
Hey, I’m Alex Oladele. I’m a senior software engineer at Red Hat, working on Ansible Galaxy as part of the Ansible Automation Platform.
I grew up in Westerville, Ohio and studied software engineering at Miami University. I hated Python until April 2019. Now I speak about it at conferences. I’m a member of Black Python Devs and a moderator of a Raleigh-based Mastodon server.
I speak at conferences and universities about code review culture, Python, and practical engineering skills.
Outside of work I build open source side projects and run a homelab that I’m very proud of. My fiance and I share a love of fountain pens and stationery. I have a cat named Sokka, strong opinions about board games, and I play the viola. I also enjoy cooking and love horror comics and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
You can find what I’m reading on StoryGraph and what I’m watching on Letterboxd.
